2nd. ASSISTANT GOLF PROFESSIONAL

POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are currently recruiting for a Full Time 2nd. Assistant Golf Professional to Assist the Director of Golf with the overall management of the Golf operation as well as develop and manage the outside Tournament Program. Promote an exceptional “golf experience” and provide excellent services and programs to all residents and guest.

Must be enrolled in the PGA Associate Program

SOME Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assists residents by providing and interpreting policies, rules and regulations for the Golf courses.
  • Assists and works with Golf Shop employees on maintaining accurate EzLinks Tee Sheet functions and set up.
  • Attends periodic Association safety meetings and administers follow up meetings with the Golf employees.
  • Actively pursues opportunities to market the benefits of Golf Tournaments to the public.
  • Manages and supervises the outside tournament program.
  • Works with and assists the Mountain Vista Golf Clubs with their tournament needs, scoring, course set-up, etc.
  • Supervises the maintenance of the Associations Golf Cart Fleet by working with Club Car.
  • Assists the 1stAssistant Golf Professional with the Merchandise as it relates to displaying, sales and monthly Inventory process.
  • Promotes and gives private Golf Lessons as well as Clinics.
  • Assists and works with Golf Shop employees on maintaining accurate EzLinks Tee Sheet functions and set up.
  • Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
  • Projects a positive and professional image
  • Leadership – maintains a positive, upbeat role in the Company. Promotes and exemplifies Association Values and represents departmental objectives and interest to internal and external customers.
  • Customer Service - Follows up on complaints, questions, and concerns that come to the department; responds to customer needs in a timely and efficient manner. Develops and promotes teamwork and cooperation among fellow employees and managers. Shows an appropriate sense of urgency in completing work and addressing the needs of others.
  • Incumbent must be flexible to changing policies and procedures, as well as varying deadlines.
  • Assist with the hiring and training of all golf operation employees
  • Manages and supervises the Golf operation and employees in the absence of the Director of Golf and 1st. Assistant Golf professional.
Required Technical / Other Skills / Licenses – Working knowledge of computers and most commonly used business software, to include: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Must have Ezlinks knowledge. Ability to build and mentor a solid service team who share a high level of commitment and passion to serve: quality presentation, customer service, professionalism: Ability to multi-task and delegate and utilize a systems-based approach to meet the Pro Shops service standards and quality of service and product. Ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines.
