JOB SUMMARY
The Assistant Golf Professional ("Assistant Pro") assists the Golf Business Manager in managing the facility's day-to-day operations. The Assistant Pro is responsible for supervising and managing total golf operations in the absence of the Golf Business Manager. All duties of the position shall be performed with a commitment to the highest level of customer service.
The Assistant Pro shall be committed to the mission, vision, and values of Stansbury Service Agency and demonstrate such through ethical conduct, community stewardship, individual initiative, and responsive service.
SUPERVISORY RELATIONSHIPS
Walking, standing, climbing, heavy lifting, carrying, stooping, bending, kneeling, and reaching.
WORK SCHEDULE
Work schedule can be any time between 6:00 am and 10:00 pm, seven days a week. Will be required to work evening, weekend, or holiday hours frequently. The position is part-time, year-round, and non-benefited.

SUPERVISORY RELATIONSHIPS
- Reports to the Golf Business Manager
- Supervises Cart Attendants
- Assist with golfer check-in and fee collection; control and manage play.
- Assist with all opening and closing procedures.
- Assist in managing facility tournament operations, including weekly events.
- Assist in tournament operations and weekly events, including planning, pre-tournament contracts, post-tournament billing, promotion, course set-up, preparation, scoring, prize distribution, and follow-up.
- Assist with Men's, Women's, and Junior Golf events and programs.
- Assist in and promote the Junior Golf events and programs.
- Assist in Player Development programs using PGA tools and resources.
- Supervises and trains outside service staff to ensure the highest quality of customer service is achieved.
- Assist in managing golf cart operation and practice facility.
- Provide club repair and club fitting services to customers.
- Responsible for timely and consistent maintenance of the Club's USGA Handicap System.
- Assist in the inventory control of hard goods, soft goods, and special orders, including ordering procedures, receiving procedures, input into point of sale, pricing procedures, displays, and sales.
- Assist in planning and budgeting for the golf operations.
- Conduct oneself professionally and maintain a professional image at all times. Assist with the administration of applicable staff via recordkeeping, work schedules, etc., in accordance with the agency facility's HR policies.
- Assist in coordinating golf activities with other departments.
- All other duties as assigned.
- PGA Member, PGA Associate, Apprentice, or PGA Golf Management student preferred; non-PGA candidates with relevant experience will be considered.
- Fundamental supervisory practices and principles.
- Act as a role model for all employees by demonstrating the behavior and work ethic expected of all employees.
- Strong organizational, planning, and prioritization skills.
- Self-motivated with a desire to promote and market Stansbury Golf Course, resulting in increased revenue.
- Service and customer focus attitude.
- Experienced in written and oral business communications skills.
- Remain up-to-date on customer relationship management tactics and strategies.
- Utilize the resources of PGA player development programs such as "Get Golf Ready," "PGA Sports Academy," "Tee it Forward," and others.
- Experienced computer user, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and ForeUp. Proficient in other applications, i.e., email, internet, tournament, and database.
- Maintain and promote a positive professional image within the community.
- Maintain a credible golf game and remain current on teaching innovations.
- Minimum Age 21
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Must have a valid driver's license
