Description

Overview

The Assistant Golf Professional assists the Head Professional in all aspects of course management including Pro Shop operations, tournament scheduling and completion, customer service, scheduling tee times, starter, and merchandising. Position also works with members and guests through lessons and golf camps. The Assistant Golf Professional must also be ready and willing to assist with other tasks as directed.

Experience Required

Level 1 PGA Preferred.

Essential Responsibilities


  • Promote the game of golf.
  • Work closely with the Head Professional in facilitating day to day pro shop operations. Must establish and maintain good working relationships with employees and customers.
  • Interprets and enforces golf and club rules and regulations with guidance from the Head Professional.
  • Daily tee sheet management including: Scheduling tee times for members and guests in the proper groups on proper days, accurately and efficiently.
  • Responsible for operation of cash register, sales reports and tee sheet reconciliation.
  • Assist in implementation of group and individual lessons as well as Jr. Golf camps.
  • Responsible for appearance of pro shop and merchandise sales.
  • Assist Head Professional in golf course operation as directed.
  • Responsible for tournament setup for all events. This includes, but is not limited to: cart tags, scorecards, rules sheets, contest holes, alphabetical player lists for player service, scoreboards, tournament scoring, results sheets, sponsor signs and any additional tasks that may be required to assist in making events successful.
  • Promote club and assist in selling Memberships and Ranch Pass.
  • Promote golf tournament participation.
  • Perform related duties as assigned in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Perform golf handicap maintenance functions and reports.
  • Assists with activities in other departments as needed.
  • Maintains professional conduct and dress at all times.
  • Professional acumen while assisting guests on the telephone.
