San Antonio Country Club — founded in 1904 and one of the founding members of the Texas Golf Association — is seeking a PGA Golf Professional to serve as our Assistant Golf Professional and Tournament Operations Coordinator. A century-old course that has welcomed Bobby Jones, Ben Hogan, Jack Nicklaus, Tom Watson, and Tiger Woods is completing a full Brian Silva redesign (new TifEagle greens, TifTuf fairways, and redesigned bunkers) and reopens for play this fall. It's an exciting time to join our team.

If you're passionate about tournament operations, member experience, and growing the game, we'd love to hear from you.

What you'll do
  • Manage and promote all MGA and WGA events in partnership with leadership
  • Own tournament day-of operations end to end: planning, pre-tournament contracts, billing, promotion, course setup, scoring, prizes, and follow-up
  • Leverage Golf Genius software to elevate the tournament experience
  • Plan and execute all junior golf tournaments
  • Teach lessons and support junior golf programming
  • Contribute to daily golf operations, including starting, golf shop operations, and opening/closing procedures
  • Uphold and model professional standards across the operations staff
  • Maintain a high level of play in your own game

What we're looking for
  • PGA Class A Certified Professional (preferred)
  • Extensive, hands-on knowledge of Golf Genius
  • Experience with ForeTees tee time and registration; JONAS POS a plus
  • Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with a member-first mindset

What we offer
  • PGA dues paid
  • 100% of lesson revenue
  • $1,000 annual clothing allowance
  • $1,000 annual education/travel allowance
  • $1,000 year-end bonus (after 12 months of employment)

Schedule: Typically a 5-day, 40–50 hour work week. Certain weeks (holiday weekends, tournament weeks) may require a 6th day. Assigned golf shop time is kept to a minimum (1–2 shifts per week)
