This is an exciting opportunity for a PGA trainee or recently qualified PGA Professional looking to build their career in a dynamic resort environment. The role offers valuable experience across coaching, golf operations, retail and member service, with the opportunity to develop a strong client base and the potential to progress into a full-time coaching position over time.

The Role
Columbia Secret Valley Golf is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Trainee or Recently Qualified PGA Professional to support the golf operations team in delivering an exceptional golf experience for members and guests.
This is an exciting opportunity for a PGA trainee or recently qualified PGA Professional looking to build their career in a dynamic resort environment. The role offers valuable experience across coaching, golf operations, retail and member service, with the opportunity to develop a strong client base and the potential to progress into a full-time coaching position over time.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the day-to-day running of the Pro Shop, including sales, merchandising and customer service
- Support stock control, receive deliveries, process stock and maintain shop presentation
- Deliver individual and group coaching sessions for members, guests, beginners and junior golfers
- Support the promotion and day-to-day operation of the Golf Academy
- Assist with competition administration, tee sheet management and golf event operations
- Organise coaching clinics, academy initiatives, custom fitting events and demo days
- Provide a high standard of service and member engagement at all times
- Work closely with the Director of Golf and wider team to enhance the overall golf experience
- Be proactive in developing a coaching client base and promoting lessons and academy services
The package offered will be based on a fixed salary plus lesson commission.

Candidate Profile
- PGA trainee nearing completion of training, or recently qualified PGA Professional
- Passionate about coaching and player development
- Motivated to grow a client base and develop a long-term coaching career
- Strong interest in golf operations, retail and customer service
- Professional, friendly and approachable manner
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proactive, reliable and eager to learn
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable using golf management, tee sheet and retail systems
