Overview
The Assistant Golf Professional supports the daily golf operations, ensuring an exceptional experience for all guests. This position assists with golf shop management, tournaments, lessons, and general customer service. The ideal candidate is friendly, organized, and passionate about the game of golf.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and maintain a welcoming atmosphere in the golf shop and on the course.
• Assist in the management of daily tee sheet operations and pace of play.
• Oversee golf shop sales, merchandising, and inventory control.
• Help organize, promote, and execute tournaments, leagues, and special events.
• Assist with public play check-ins, answering phones, and handling reservations.
• Conduct junior clinics, group lessons, and individual instruction as assigned.
• Enforce course policies, rules, and etiquette.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional golf shop and work environment.
• Support the Head Professional in staff training and supervision.
• Perform club repair and custom fitting as needed.
• Represent the facility in a professional manner at all times.

Qualifications

• PGA Associate or desire to become a PGA member preferred.
• Previous golf operations or retail experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Knowledge of golf rules, handicapping, and tournament formats.
• Proficient in POS and tee sheet software - GolfNow.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Passion for customer service and growing the game of golf.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
