Emerald Lakes Golf Club is amongst the leaders in both the Golf and Hospitality Industries, and we are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Assistant Golf Operations Manager to join our team. This is a hands‑on role supporting the day‑to‑day operations of our Pro Shop, Driving Range and Golf Course, helping us deliver an exceptional experience to members, guests, and visitors. You must possess a strong passion for exceptional customer service, be well presented, be hard working, reliable and self-motivated. The successful candidate must have at least 4 years' experience within the Hospitality Industry, together with extensive knowledge within golf operations.

About the Role

Working closely with the Golf Operations Manager, you will assist with the smooth daily running of golf operations, customer service, merchandising, administration, and coordination with other departments across the Club. Also being the main liaison to all social golf clubs and corporate golf groups, managing the requirements of their bookings and working effectively with the clubhouse events staff where necessary.

This role requires strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to deliver high‑quality service while upholding club standards, policies, and presentation expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily Pro Shop, Driving Range & Golf Course operations

  • Communicate with and manage social club and corporate golf group bookings

  • Provide exceptional, professional customer service to members and guests

  • Support staff supervision, training, and daily task coordination

  • Assist with golf merchandise ordering, rotation, and stock control

  • Administer golf time sheets, bookings, competitions, and member enquiries

  • Maintain strong relationships with members, committees, and internal teams

  • Communicate operational issues, course conditions, and customer feedback

  • Assist with rostering, timesheet management, and basic administration

  • Support marketing initiatives, promotions, and upselling across revenue streams

  • Ensure compliance with safety, hygiene, and club policies

  • Assist with incident reporting and WHS requirements
About You

You will be successful in this role if you have:

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and customer service skills

  • A proactive, hands‑on approach with strong attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently and within a team

  • Strong organisational and multitasking ability

  • Experience in golf, retail, club operations, and hospitality

  • A positive attitude and commitment to maintaining high standards

  • Availability to work weekends, early mornings, and peak trading times
Certifications such as RSA and First Aid (or willingness to obtain) are advantageous.
