*Part-Time Assistant Golf Course Mechanic* *21 hours per week | London Golf Club | Stansted Lane, Ash, Kent* We are looking for a practical and enthusiastic *Part-Time Assistant Golf Course Mechanic* to join our Greenkeeping team at London Golf Club. Working alongside our Workshop Manager, you will help ensure our extensive range of golf course machinery is maintained, serviced and ready for our Greenkeeping team. This is a *21-hour-per-week position*, ideally suited to someone with mechanical experience who enjoys a hands-on role and is looking for part-time hours. *Key responsibilities* * Assist the Workshop Manager with the day-to-day running of the workshop * Service machinery in accordance with manufacturers' recommendations * Carry out repairs and respond to machinery breakdowns * Support the preventative maintenance programme * Sharpen cutting units and mowing blades * Complete daily machinery set-up and check quality of cut * Diagnose mechanical faults and resolve problems * Keep the workshop and working areas clean, safe and organised *About you* Previous mechanical experience would be an advantage. Experience with *hydraulics, turf machinery and cutting cylinders* would be particularly useful, although we are interested in hearing from candidates with transferable mechanical skills. You will need to be practical, reliable and comfortable working independently as well as part of the wider Greenkeeping team. The role requires an *early start*, allowing machinery to be prepared before our Greenkeepers head out onto the golf course. *Hours* *21 hours per week - Monday to Wednesday* We can offer some flexibility around how these hours are worked, although early starts will form part of the role. *What we offer* You'll be based in our *purpose-built, warm and dry workshop*, with power tools and specialist equipment provided. Own hand tools are required.
