Position Description: OVERVIEW OF RESPONSIBILITIES
The Assistant Golf Shop Manager position at GVR assists the Golf Operations leadership team in managing all aspects of GVRs daily operations to ensure a high-end guest experience is met or exceeded at all times. Controlling communication, coordination, and execution within all areas of GVRs operation are the most important means in uniting the entire staff in achieving this goal. Being aware of your surroundings at all times and proactively addressing the needs of our staff and guests alike is essential to the overall success of our property.

Duties include, but not limited to:
- Lead/Manage all GVR Golf Operations Associates (Golf Shop Assistants, Outside Service Staff, and Starters/On-Course Hosts) with proper communication, coordination, and execution of daily tasks
- Outside Service Manager - training, daily operations, cart fleet management goals, communication, productivity, organization and cleanliness of areas (ownership), and coaching/correction/follow-up of associates
- Caddie Program Manager for First Tee of GVR ensure program goals are met or exceeded
- Youth on Course and Advanced Reservation Program Management
- Daily Financial Reporting
- Inventory Management - ordering, receiving, and displaying
- Maintaining GVR Golf Shop merchandising, presentation, and cleanliness standards
- Maintain GVR Greeting/Customer Service Standards for all Golf Shop Associates
- Provide exceptional customer service to all members and guests to achieve guest satisfaction goals
- Monthly merchandise sales goals of the Golf Shop
- Pace of Play Management - Monitor GPS, coordinate with the On-Course Host, and take necessary action to ensure 4-hour, 30-minute pace of play policy is upheld each day
- GHIN Handicap Management
- Maintains an active role in the overall golf operation, communication systems, protocols and procedures, and goals/objectives of GVR
- Assists with Tournament Operations execution
- Other reasonable duties as assigned
- Must have a High School Diploma
- Must have prior Golf Shop experience in a fast-paced golf operations environment
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Golf POS Systems, and applications
- Must be knowledgeable about the game of golf, expectations of guests, and willing to learn the nuances of a golf operation at a first-class golf club
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Full-time availability (40 hours per week) for the Golf Season
- Available weekdays, weekends, holidays, and shifts up to 8-12 hours in length if needed
- Enrolled in the PGA Associate in the PGA Membership program
- Prior experience as a Golf Shop Supervisor
- Adaptable and flexible in a high-paced environment
- Able to manage multi-faceted daily tasks while staying on-track
- High-level of personal presentation, awareness, and organization with a multi-tasking mindset
- Superb communication, teamwork, positive attitude, and work ethic
- Punctual, honest, trustworthy, and reliable in performing duties with minimal supervision
- Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Able to stand for extended periods of time
- Adaptable to working outdoors in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow, etc.)
- Safety conscious and responsible care of company property
- Base Pay of $18.29 - $20.29/hour DOE
- Full-time position (up to 40 hours per week)
