Salary Range/Pay Rate $45,826 to $51,558 annually.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Golf Management, Business, or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • Prior work experience in the golf industry and/or at a golf course country facility is preferred.
  • Ability to work easily with computer software technology (ie. Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, and Access).
  • Experience with tee time reservations systems software (such as ClubCaddie).
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  • This position will assist with hiring, training, and scheduling department staff, both full time and summer seasonal temporary staff.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • A valid driver’s license and driving record acceptable to the University by the University’s insurance carrier.
Desired Qualifications
  • Prior experience in managing personnel and evaluating performance.
  • Ability to interact in a variety of social settings, support institutional strategic plan, and set & meet the business mission and goals.
  • One year experience in university golf course management.


All Qualifications Unless otherwise required by an applicable collective bargaining agreement, all minimum, additional and desired qualifications are preferred, but qualifications, degrees, and/or experience deemed comparable and/or equivalent by Oakland University in its sole and exclusive discretion may be considered.
Position Details
Position Purpose Assist Golf Operations Manager in daily inside/outside clubhouse operations, including open and close. Ensure a positive customer experience, as well as maintain order and cleanliness of the golf shop, clubhouse areas, restrooms, etc. Assist with inventory management/special ordering. Assist with Golf events. This position will require weekends on a rotating basis or a Saturday or Sunday off.
