CostaTerra Golf & Ocean Club seeks an Assistant General Manager for a broad, visible leadership role at Discovery Land Company’s first private community in Europe, on Portugal’s Alentejo coast. Reporting to the General Manager and leading most operational department heads, the AGM will directly influence service delivery, team performance, and the relationships that define the member and homeowner experience.

The role offers an established luxury hospitality leader the scope to develop department leaders, strengthen consistency across operations, and help shape the club’s service culture. Close collaboration with the General Manager on financial oversight, project management, and strategic planning adds depth to a role centered on daily leadership and personal engagement with members and staff.

About Costaterra Golf & Ocean Club

CostaTerra Golf & Ocean Club is a private residential community between Comporta and Melides on Portugal’s Alentejo coast. Part of Discovery Land Company, the club combines Atlantic coastline, dunes, and pine forests with a relaxed, family-focused culture and personalized service. Homesites, custom homes, and club residences provide a range of ownership options within a community centered on outdoor recreation, well-being, and lasting relationships.

A Tom Fazio-designed, 18-hole championship golf course anchors the amenities, supported by the CostaTerra Golf Academy and extensive practice facilities. Beyond golf, members enjoy sailing, watersports, fitness, yoga, and a clubhouse spa. Distinctive gathering places include Logan’s Nest, set among the pines with golf and ocean views, and Dune Deck, an open-air dining venue featuring local food and wine overlooking the Portuguese coastline.

Environmental stewardship is integral to CostaTerra’s development. Located within the EU’s Natura 2000 conservation network, the property incorporates native landscaping and a master plan designed to protect the surrounding ecosystem. These commitments support a community that connects members and their families with the landscape and culture of coastal Portugal.
