*Job Description* Global Maritek Systems, Inc. is a maritime company providing High Performance Law Enforcement Vessel Maintenance and Marine Services in support of US Customs and Border Protection marine fleet. Headquartered in St. Augustine, Florida, with 27 sites around the U.S. in Washington State, California, Michigan, Ohio, New York, South Carolina, Florida, Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas, and Puerto Rico. We hire for all locations. GMS is seeking personnel who are searching for a career and not a job in a challenging and rewarding environment. An Administrative Technician supports company operations by maintaining office systems and supervising office staff. Perform accounting and clerical functions to support supervisors and managers. Record business transactions to the (CAMITS) system invoices. Work with, calculators, databases and bank accounts. Assist employees traveling for business purposes with traveling arrangements, hotel accommodations, and rental cars/ transportation. *Position Responsibilities:* _Typical duties include but are not limited to the following. Specific duties vary by assignment._ * Assists the Accounts Payable Team Lead in performing all Accounts Payable functions. Such duties include but are not limited to: Vouchering all incoming invoices, checks, account statements, reports, travel expenses and other records. Vouchers for department approval; distributing vouchers for corporate approval. * Inputs Accounts Payable data into CAMITS after all approvals have been made. * Gets checks signed to ensure that bills are paid on time. * Opens and/or sorts finance mail. Prepares material for mailing, ensuring that appropriate copies are maintained and filed, according to departmental guidelines. * Communicates with supervisors and peers - providing information to supervisors and co-workers by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person. * Communicates with persons outside Organization -- representing the organization to customers, the public, and government. * Practices good housekeeping, tool control. Maintain awareness of the safety program at all times. *Position Requirements:* * The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. * While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to have full range of mobility in upper and lower body, able to reach overhead, able to work in various positions, including, but not limited to, stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling, squatting, use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs or balance for extended periods of time. * Have 2 years administrative assistance experience. * Be able to lift, pull and push material and equipment to complete assigned job tasks. * Be able to operate a forklift (if required) and other motor vehicle. * The work environment characteristics here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. * Although the Company has attempted to accurately and thoroughly describe this position, the Company reserves the right to change the same, including to change, add to or subtract from the duties outlined, within the sole discretion of the Company, at any time, with or without advance notice. * Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust, High Risk security clearance. * Must have 2-years relatable experience in this field.Extremely Generous Benefits Plan.
