Position Summary:
Stonebridge Golf Club, which is owned by Wingate University, is seeking a qualified Golf Course Accountant. The accountant is responsible for all course accounting & administrative duties, tracking and reporting revenues and expenses, and working with the General Manager and Course Owners in reaching the club’s financial goals as established by the annual budget.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Responsible for all financial accounting functions for the course, including preparing and booking monthly journal entries, fixed asset accounting, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
Prepares monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
Manages Treasury functions for the course with focus on cash management tasks.
Manages accounts payable process for all course operating expenses.
Interacts effectively and in a timely fashion with customers and vendors regarding A/R and A/P
Assists budget manager with preparing the annual budget and budget reporting.
Manage end-of-month financial reporting for course management and owners.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Strong Knowledge of U.S GAAP and Financial Reporting capabilities
Associate or bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is strongly preferred, 5+ Years of experience in Accounting.
Experience with QuickBooks
Proficiency with Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
Must possess excellent customer service skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities.
Unquestionable integrity and personal ethics.
Strong attention to detail, passion for excellence and a great attitude
Education and Experience:
Associate or bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is strongly preferred, 5+ Years of experience in Accounting.
Experience with QuickBooks
