About The Role
Council is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Team Leader – North Turramurra Golf Course to join our Sportsfields & Golf Courses team.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead a dedicated crew in the maintenance of an 18-hole public golf course, ensuring it remains in top condition for the enjoyment of the community and visitors alike.
Reporting to the Supervisor Sportsfields & Golf Courses, your duties will include, but are not limited to:

- Salary $81,384.68 to $94,405.48 p/a + super
- Opportunities for paid overtime
- 38 hours per week/9 day fortnight

About The Role
Council is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Team Leader – North Turramurra Golf Course to join our Sportsfields & Golf Courses team.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead a dedicated crew in the maintenance of an 18-hole public golf course, ensuring it remains in top condition for the enjoyment of the community and visitors alike.
Reporting to the Supervisor Sportsfields & Golf Courses, your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Lead the maintenance of the golf course, gardens, and surrounding areas – including turf management, irrigation, pest control, mowing, and chemical application
- Supervise, train, and support a small team of ground staff
- Develop and implement weekly and seasonal maintenance programs
- Monitor work quality, WHS compliance, and equipment maintenance
- Ensure timely completion of scheduled and reactive maintenance tasks
- Manage administrative duties such as timesheets, site inspections, and reporting
- Maintain and manage inventory of tools, materials, and equipment
- Trade qualifications in Horticulture (Turf Maintenance) or equivalent experience
- Class C Driver’s Licence
- Current Senior First Aid Certificate
- ChemCert accreditation (chemical handling)
- White Card (Construction Induction)
- Extensive experience in turf management and golf course maintenance
- Supervisory experience in operational staff management
- Knowledge of turf renovation, weed/pest control and irrigation systems
- Understanding of golf course operations and preparation standards
- Ability to lead, motivate and develop team members
- 38 hour working week
