We are seeking a friendly Volunteer to visit an elderly Man living in a residential Care Home in Waverley. His interests include good conversation, reflecting on growing up in the UK, golf, soccer and jazz music. He would enjoy meeting someone to go for a short stroll with and have a chat over a cuppa. You'll also be helping him to maintain his overall wellbeing as part of the Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme.
Your impact
Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.

HammondCare is an approved provider of the Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme (ACVVS), funded by the Australian Government.

Requirements18 years or older • National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare • Evidence of COVID-19 vaccination will be required (Two doses)
Ideally you'll be available one hour per week for 6 months. We'd be happy to chat with you about a suitable day during the week between the hours of 9am-5pm.
