Full job description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities, include, but are not limited to:
- Conducts fitness assessments and in depth consultations to determine clients' goals and fitness levels
-Collaborates with other golf and fitness coaches to best serve the clients golf and personal fitness goals
- Participates in the development of personalized exercise programs based on clients' needs and goals
- Delivers high quality coaching with demonstration of proper exercise techniques to clients
- Provides ongoing support, motivation, and guidance to clients throughout their fitness journey
- Monitors clients' progress and make adjustments to their exercise programs as needed
- Coaches training sessions in a semi-private training model
- Maintains a Professional demeanor at all times
- Demonstrates a commitment to Motus Performance's Core Values
- Is committed to lifelong learning and professional development
- Demonstrates effective client care and retention skills
- Creates a 5-star customer experience, going above and beyond for each client
- Completes all necessary daily operations
- Maintains a clean and safe workout environment
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Skills
- Is a golfer with a GHIN # or has a very strong interest in the game of golf
- Is seeking a career as a fitness professional
- Holds a current certification as a Personal Trainer, Strength Coach, or higher by an NCAA-accredited organization (NSCA, NASM, ACSM, ACE, etc.)
- Currently holds or will pursue fitness certifications from the Titleist Performance Institute
- Holds a Functional Movement Screen Certification, Level 1 or higher
- Holds a current CPR-AED certification
- Is a Certified Nice Person (CNP)
- Has a working knowledge of, or desire to learn, golf performance technologies
- Has experience with digital training program and scheduling software
- Desires to work with athletes and individuals of various ages and abilities
- Has an in-depth understanding of body movement, anatomy, and physiology
- Has a strong and current knowledge of exercise movements and various equipment and training options
- Knows and uses of effective coaching cues
- Has excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with clients
- Has the ability to motivate and inspire individuals to achieve their fitness goals
- Strong organizational skills to manage client schedules and track progress
As a Golf Fitness Trainer, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse clientele (in age, golf proficiency, and fitness levels) of both golf-focused and fitness-focused individuals to help them improve their bodies for a more effective and consistent swing and/or to achieve their fitness goals for their long-term fitness and health. You will play a crucial role in guiding these individuals towards overall better movement to support their active lifestyles. Please note that this is not an entry-level position. Two years' experience in one-on-one, semi-private, or team training is required. While this is currently a part-time position ( 20+ hrs), there is the intention and strong potential of becoming full time within six months.
