Murray Downs Golf and Country Club Ltd is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to support the CEO and oversee the daily operations of its two premier venues: Murray Downs Golf and Country Club and The Swan Hill Club. About the Clubs:
Murray Downs Golf and Country Club boasts a stunning, modern clubhouse overlooking an 18-hole championship golf course, ranked among Australia’s top 100. It hosts prestigious events, including the 2024 NSW Open Championship, the annual Golden Putter, and several key tournaments throughout the year. The Club also features three high-quality turf bowling greens and a fully club-owned Pro Shop employing a Golf Pro and Pro Shop Manager.
The Swan Hill Club complements this with a bistro, gaming facilities, and versatile spaces for community and private events. The Club Group operates 91 gaming entitlements at Murray Downs and 42 at the Swan Hill Club.
About the Role:
The Operations Manager is responsible for the effective management of staff and resources across both venues, ensuring operational excellence and high service standards. This role supports the CEO, playing a pivotal part in implementing strategies, improving performance, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

- Oversee daily operations across both clubs, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery.
- Manage and mentor a diverse team, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
- Collaborate with the CEO and senior management team to implement strategic objectives.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, including gaming regulations and WH&S requirements.
- Support the management of renovation projects, ensuring timely and budget-conscious completion.
- Monitor and respond to financial data to support commercial decision-making.
- Drive customer service excellence, ensuring a welcoming and high-quality member and guest experience.
- Utilise and manage software platforms including Micropower, IGT and GFRPRO Gaming Systems, MiClub, ClubNET, HumanForce, and Wage Easy.
- Relevant qualifications in hospitality management, business, or a related field.
- Current RSA, ARCG, and First Aid certifications.
- Proven experience in a senior operations role within the club or hospitality industry.
- Strong financial acumen and the ability to interpret and act on financial data.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, with experience managing large, multi-functional teams.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements within the club environment.
