ABOUT THE FUNCTION
Function : Agronomy
Department : Agronomy
Role : Entrusted with implementing the daily maintenance and agronomic program of the golf and landscape maintenance department to provide the highest possible standard of playing surfaces, in order to deliver outstanding golf experiences.
Records and monitors daily activities and data and communicates with the golf course manager.
Trains the team while implementing the agreed Standard Operating Procedures and ensuring stringent Health & Safety practices are followed.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED
- Genuine eye for detail and guest service culture
- Flexible mindset to the needs of the role. Flexible time management.
- Excellent communication skills inc. use of Microsoft office programs
- Experience of working at a high-end agronomic golf facility
- Ability to read data and make strategic decisions on the go
- Providing exceptional playing surfaces and landscape in line with the SOP
- Positive Guest experience. Guest NPS and Mystery Shopper platforms
- Managing Day to Day operations and assigning resources accordingly.
- Seamless Communication across all levels of the business unit.
- Provide constructive feedback (on and off-the-job).
- Overall Asset Management
- Minimum of a high school diploma is required / Technical Certificate or Qualification in Sports Turf or a related field is preferred.
- Member of an industry organization such as GCSAA or BIGGA would be an advantage
- Supervises, organizes and demonstrates good planning skills.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a golf course maintenance department
- Pesticide applicators license or similar would be an advantage
