As a Golf Shop Assistant at Sunningdale Golf & C.C, you will be the first impression to our members as they enter the golf shop and will actively assist them with any questions or requests, they may have. You will be knowledgeable of all upcoming events and will be able to assist members in person or on the phone. We take pride in our boutique style Golf Shop and the shopping service we provide for our members, therefore as a Golf Shop Assistant, you will prioritize the shop looking its best to maintain a welcoming environment for all. You will also manage outside activities by directing our Back Shop and Starter staff.

Responsibilities
- Completing opening and closing tasks for the shop.
- With assistance from our Merchandise Manager, you will ensure displays and mannequins are alternated monthly.
- Maintain golf shop merchandise standards by restocking products and cleaning displays.
- Help to roll out any of our monthly promotions using signage and inform the other shop staff of how the promotions work.
- Manage phone call inquiries as well as in person assistance of our members.
- Stay informed about upcoming member & charity events, as well as leagues, to answer all inquiries and signups.
- Learn and use our software programs for tee times, leagues, and member information.
- Monitoring daily sales and organization of golf cart rentals.
- Assist with the organization of our outside starter staff.
- Organization and setup of the back shop staff, ensuring their daily tasks are being completed.
- Ability to adapt to a changing, fast paced environment.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Exceptional communication skills to work well with teammates and other staff.
- Having a working knowledge of the Private Golf Club industry is an asset but not necessary.
