Position: Line Cook (Full-time/Part-time) - Four Open Positions
About the Role:
The Line Cook position is integral to maintaining and executing the highest standards of food preparation at the golf club. As a Line Cook, you'll contribute to the seamless execution of restaurant operations, ensuring exceptional food and service for events and various F&B services. As an ambassador for the Golden Golf Club Brand, you'll play a vital role in upholding our reputation for culinary excellence.
Responsibilities:
Daily:
· Assist the Head Chef in maintaining kitchen standards and operating practices.
· Ensure accurate execution of all restaurant meal periods and F&B services.
· Collaborate with the Head Chef to update FOH Staff on daily features, 86’d items, and upcoming events.
· Assist in ordering produce, dry goods, frozen items, dairy, proteins, and specialty items.
· Follow recipes and maintain the recipe database.
· Uphold standards of cleanliness, timing, uniform, grooming, organization, production, and consistency.
· Support Head Chef in completing food, chemical, and kitchenware orders.
· Maintain inventory of all food products.
· Perform daily prep production of food.
· Understand and execute various types of cookery.
· Ensure a high level of cleanliness and report any equipment repairs to the Head Chef.
Weekly:
· Assist Head Chef in developing menus based on client specifications and contracts.
· Support Head Chef in achieving budget goals for kitchen labor, food costs, and purchasing.
Monthly:
· Accurately inventory food and report costs with variances to the Director of Operations.
Knowledge and Skills:
· Clear and effective communication, both oral and written.
· Excellent planning and organizational skills.
· Ability to work independently and with eagerness.
· Prioritize and manage time effectively, adapting to change.
· Create a collaborative work environment fostering creativity, honesty, and shared respect.
· Make positive decisions under pressure.
Education and/or Experience:
· Minimum two years in a premium casual restaurant.
· Ability to organize and execute multiple banquets simultaneously.
· Working knowledge of classical and proper techniques for all line stations.
· WHIMIS and Food Safe Certified.
Job Duties:
· Prepare, season, and cook food meeting dietary requirements.
· Follow recipes and presentation specifications.
· Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
· Maintain station cleanliness, practicing good safety and sanitation.
· Keep records of food temperature and prepare reports.
Additional Duties:
· Recording food temperature.
· Preparing reports.
Start Date: Flexible for the right candidate. Ideal start date is late April to mid-May
Job Types: Part-time, Full-time
Salary: From $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
