About the Town of Cambridge Wembley Golf Course
A flagship Town of Cambridge facility, the Wembley Golf Course is a public facility that includes 36 holes, an 80 bay two storey automated driving range, an 18-hole mini golf course, and one of Australia’s biggest pro shops. With over 145,000 rounds per year and over 450,000 visitors to the facility per year, Wembley Golf Course is arguably the busiest golf facility in Australia.
Our 'People First' approach emphasises respect, high levels of internal and external service delivery, and a focus on continuously aligning our systems and processes to improve how they serve the people we work with.
We are looking for people with a strong customer focus, excellent communication skills, and a knowledge of and enthusiasm for the game of golf to assist customers with their requests and enquiries.
The Role
This role is ideally suited for students, Junior Assistants support the Mini-Golf, Buggy Shed and Driving Range operations during busy periods. As an entry-level position, no previous experience in the golf industry is necessary; however a knowledge of and enthusiasm for the game of golf will be highly regarded.

*Employees under the age of 20 years shall be paid a percentage of the minimum rate of Grade 1, in accordance with the Town of Cambridge Employee’s Collective Agreement 2022.

- Sound communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills;
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, organisation, time management, planning, and problem solving skills
- Knowledge of and enthusiasm for the game of golf is highly desirable
- Previous experience in a customer service environment is desirable
- Knowledge of golfing equipment including electric golf carts would be an advantage
- First Aid training or qualifications (desirable)

- Right to work in Australia (birth certificate, current passport or current visa)
