We're looking for a Golf Turfgrass Management Intern for the upcoming Summer Season
Can you picture yourself here working on a top-tier golf course learning the skills involved in Golf Course maintenance?
You'd be responsible for:
- Golf Course Maintenance - working with the Turf Management crews in the field; to care for Greens, Fairways, and Tee Boxes
- Assist the superintendent to organize and direct maintenance of all areas within the scope and according to the technical specifications of the contract
- Assist with procuring and managing supplies and materials to support maintenance activities
- Account Management - Shadow the Golf Superintendant and Assistant Superintendant in client meetings and course walk-throughs
- Agronomic Review - Shadow a Spray Technician
- Irrigation - Understand the various parts of the irrigation system; Irrigation troubleshooting and best practices
- Represent BrightView Golf Maintenance in a positive and professional manner including attitude, appearance, and public relations
- Pursuing a bachelors or associates degree in any areas of Agriculture such as the following: Turf Management, Agriculture, Agronomy, Horticulture, Plant or Soil Science
- Proficiency with computer software programs including MS Office suite (Word, Excel and Outlook) as well as CRM systems
- Self-motivated to work on tasks
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast paced environment
- Strong work ethic
