Apprentice Horticulturist
An exciting opportunity has become available at one of Sydney’s premier golf clubs to fill the role of Apprentice Horticulturist in the course maintenance department.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a self-motivated, career-minded person to work at one of the leading clubs in Sydney.
The successful applicant will undertake a Certificate 3 in Parks and Gardens at Ryde TAFE, or a similar qualification as agreed with the club while working as a full-time employee on the Course Maintenance Team at Avondale Golf Club.
Working closely with the Bushland Manager, the successful applicant will assist in the day-to-day operation of maintaining the surrounding bushland and gardens of the golf course and clubhouse.
There will also be exposure to sports turf management as you assist in the setup and preparation of the golf course.
The club has various vegetation projects in the planning phase, and the successful candidate will be heavily involved in the execution of these projects.
