Job Description
Embark on an exciting adventure as the Head of Apparel for our Breezy Golf line, a novel role at our innovative company. We are on the lookout for a creative and dynamic individual who can collaborate seamlessly with eCommerce, Marketing, and Creative Content/Editorial teams. In this role, you'll lead apparel design, infusing your nuanced understanding of the golf apparel space and the Breezy vision into a cohesive assortment plan and line. This position, reporting directly to the Head of Commerce, offers the flexibility of remote work, with a preference for someone in the New York area.
Responsibilities
Craft and execute an apparel design strategy that captures the humor and style of Bob Does Sports and Breezy Golf.
Identify retail white space opportunities for Breezy and collaborate with the Director of Wholesale to shape an apparel portfolio strategy.
Develop products that enhance the overall brand and align with Commerce team business goals.
Oversee pattern design, collaborating with the Breezy graphic designer and art team for fresh and innovative approaches.
Create commercially viable lifestyle collections and fast-turn print on demand (POD) products.
Build the Breezy product roadmap and development calendar in partnership with the Director of eCommerce.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to seamlessly integrate design across all shopper touchpoints.
Establish and implement best-in-class design processes, methodologies, and tools for scalable growth.
Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and design best practices to drive continuous improvement.
Manage factory and vendor relationships, overseeing the sampling process for fit, color, fabric, and quality control.
Qualifications
8+ years of apparel design/merchandising experience for established retail brands within or adjacent to the golf space.
Proficient in CADs and tek packs, with experience working with factories and building line plans.
Proven ability to drive product assortments and merchandise plans for athleisure, golf, athletic, and fashion lifestyle markets.
Demonstrated track record of aligning and inspiring teams through clear visions and strong presentations.
An optimistic and enthusiastic relationship builder and hands-on teammate.
Collaborative colleague with a passion for stylish products, attention to detail, and project management.
Strong familiarity with apparel and retail financials.
