Landers Pocket is looking for a passionate and commercially minded Head of Golf to lead Golf Central - the home of our golf experience and one of the key drivers of our venue.
This is a senior golf leadership role for someone who understands the game, loves creating great golf experiences and knows how to bring together people, programs, service and commercial performance.
Golf Central is where our members, guests and visitors connect with golf. It includes the driving range, retail shop, coaching programs, memberships, golf services, events, player engagement and the day-to-day customer experience. Hospitality service also forms part of the Golf Central journey, supporting the overall experience for people using the range, attending coaching, visiting the shop or spending time at the venue.
We are looking for a leader who can grow golf participation, strengthen the member experience, lead a high-performing team and ensure Golf Central is known for quality, energy and great service.
About the Role
As Head of Golf, you will take ownership of the full Golf Central operation.
Your focus will be on growing and improving the golf experience across range, retail, coaching, memberships, service standards and team performance. You will lead the Golf Central team, drive revenue, support coaches, build member engagement and ensure the operation runs smoothly every day.
You will also work with the Head of Hospitality to ensure food and beverage service within Golf Central complements the golf experience and is delivered in line with broader Landers Pocket standards.
This role is ideal for someone who wants to shape the future of golf at Landers Pocket - not just manage the day-to-day, but build programs, improve systems, grow participation and create a golf destination that people want to return to.

What You’ll Be Doing
You will lead the day-to-day operation of Golf Central, making sure the facility runs smoothly, professionally and profitably.
You will manage and develop the Golf Central team, including recruitment, onboarding, training, rostering, supervision and performance.
You will drive revenue across the range, retail, coaching, memberships and Golf Central hospitality service.
You will oversee the driving range, including bay utilisation, occupancy, presentation, stock, customer flow and revenue performance.
You will manage the retail shop, including stock control, ordering, merchandising, product selection, margins and shop presentation.
You will grow membership sales, activations and retention through strong engagement and a great member experience.
You will support and manage the coaching program, working with coaches to grow private lessons, clinics, junior programs, group sessions and player development opportunities.
You will work with the Head of Hospitality to ensure the Golf Central hospitality team delivers consistent, high-quality service that enhances the overall golf experience.
You will manage payroll, labour efficiency, operating expenses, reporting, OH&S and operational standards.
You will work closely with the executive team on strategy, planning and continuous improvement.
You are a confident, hands-on leader who understands that great golf experiences are built through great people, strong systems and attention to detail.
You will bring:
Strong leadership and people management skills.
A genuine passion for golf and customer experience.
Commercial awareness across revenue, payroll, stock, margins and operating costs.
Experience managing rosters, staff performance and daily operations.
Retail, inventory or merchandise management experience.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work across departments.
Confidence using data, reporting and financial information to make decisions.
A practical, solutions-focused approach.
The ability to balance strategy with day-to-day operational delivery.
