POSITION: Head Golf Coach

LOCATION: Romulus High School

REPORTS TO: District Director of Athletics

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's Degree (Education Preferred)
• Head Coaching Experience (5+yrs
  Preferred)
• CPR/AED Certified
• MHSAA CAP 1 & 2 Certification (or within 6 months of hire)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coach who is dynamic, energetic and highly organized
This person must not only have a knowledge of the sport but must also have a strong ability to foster healthy relationships with student-athletes
We are looking for a coach who teaches and demonstrates our core values on and off the court

• Provide leadership and instruction toward the athletic development of student-athletes in the Romulus Community Schools Golf program; including providing an atmosphere and environment conducive to the intellectual, physical, social and emotional development of individuals to ensure success for every student-athlete.
• Construct a complete coaching staff (7-12) to work together within program.
• Adherence to all MHSAA, WWAC, RCS and RCS Department of Athletics regulations and procedures.
• Attend all required MHSAA, WWAC and Department of Athletics meetings.
• Commitment to the RCS Dept
  of Athletics Core Covenant.
• Set short-term and season-long goals for their sport based on sound principles and practices of learning.
• Develop and maintain practice schedules that foster growth and development in the program.
• Teach the fundamentals of gollf and other basic athletic skill development in student-athletes.
• Establish and maintain open and effective communication with players, parents, alumni, recruiters, community, staff and administration.
• Stress the importance of classroom performance and behavior and monitor student-athletes' academic status
• Directly responsible for the supervision of your student-athletes and school facilities both home and away
  Must monitor the appropriate use and care of all team issued equipment, uniforms, etc
  at all times.

SALARY: As per REA Collective Bargaining Agreement and experince up to step 4
