Mawson Lakes Golf Club is a nine-hole semiprivate golf club 15km from Adelaide's CBD that is experiencing exponential growth and is looking to add a motivated, career orientated Qualified Greenkeeper to maintain all aspects of the Golf Course. The course has improved immensely over the last 2 years and we are looking for the right person to continue our trajectory.
This role reports directly to the Board of Management and will work closely with them to continue the improvement of the course.
This full-time position is a hands-on Superintendent role and will operate all aspects of turf management including but not limited to:

This full-time position is a hands-on Superintendent role and will operate all aspects of turf management including but not limited to:
turf management and maintenance planning - working with the Match Committee on preparation of annual competition calendar and course upgrades and maintenance
competition preparation - course is presented ready for all club competitions
pest & disease management - a strong understanding of chemical application, pest/disease control, and spray equipment operation is required. A recognised pesticide application licence is required for chemical application and pest management duties
course cut and preparation - provide feedback on turf health, quality of surfaces, course presentation and attention to detail to management
irrigation installation and maintenance - auditing, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of all irrigation systems
machinery maintenance - ensure operating procedures are followed for all machinery and maintenance is carried out in a timely manner
golf course construction - future vision and planning on course improvements
senior reporting role, including managing course budgets, problem solving and communication with key people at the club
mentor, support and supervise small work teams of volunteers
Engaging and positive team leadership and motivation
Strong safety, compliance, and record-keeping skills
Hands-on experience with technology-driven application practices
Demonstrated in field experience working in a similar role. Ideally the successful candidate will hold qualifications in horticulture and/or turf management plus 2 years full time relevant work experience or 3 years full time work experience.
Australian citizenship or permanent residency is required for this position.
