*Job Title: *Golf Starter *Reports to: *Golf Coordinator *Classification: *Non-Exempt / Hourly *ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES* · Open and / or close the golf in the morning and / or evening following the prescribed routine. · Welcome golfers to the course · Approach players in rule violation of dress code or regulations in a positive manner. · Make reservations for players and confirm owner/guest status. · Collect fees for play, and sale of balls and tees. · Send players off at the designated starting times. · Assist players with such things as misplaced clubs or a lost ball. · Review unreturned golf cart passes and arrange for return. · At end of shift, do the appropriate accounting of all cash. · Send the cash and accounting data to the Association office as required. · Tournament Operations. · Other duties as assigned. *QUALIFICATIONS* To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. *Education and/or Experience* · High school diploma, or equivalent. · PGA Associate Level 1 *Knowledge, Skills and Abilities* * Must pay attention to detail * Must be able to demonstrate team behavior and willing to promote a team-oriented environment * Prior golf starter experience and knowledge. *Required Technical / Other Skills / Licenses* * Valid California Driver’s License. * Proficiency in MS Office, MS Word, Excel, and Outlook preferred *PHYSICAL DEMANDS* · Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time. · Must be able to bend, stoop and lift, up to 40 pounds · Ability to adapt to the outside conditions of wind, cold, and extreme heat *SAFETY* Incumbent is required to comply with established safe work practices and attend all safety-related training provided or made available by the Association Pay: $18.00 per hour Benefits: * Employee discount * Flexible schedule * Health insurance Shift availability: * Day Shift (Preferred) Work Location: In person
