About the role
Are you passionate about golf and do you have the skills and experience to deliver an exceptional golf experience? As the Golf Course Operations Supervisor, you will support the delivery of day-to-day golf operations and supervision of staff across the Whaleback pro shop and driving range.
Reporting to the Golf Operations Coordinator, your remit supports all areas of golf operations, including the driving range, retail sales, pro shop fittings and repairs, golf carts, resident club liaison, and tuition services.

A snapshot of your new role:
- Supervising a team of golf course attendants, demonstrating leadership, respect and an inclusive approach that fosters teamwork and collaboration
- Supervising pro shop operations, including club fitting and repairs, merchandise sales, stock and inventory management, tee-time reservations, and customer service
- Ensuring staff are providing exceptional service and are trained with excellent operational, technical and product knowledge
- Overseeing usage of the online booking system and ensuring staff competence in usage of
- point-of-sale (POS) systems and cash handling
- Monitoring and supervising revenue and budgeting for golf course operations
- Ensuring timely golf cart fleet maintenance and allocation
This position is required to work ordinary hours during early mornings, evenings over the weekend, and may be required to work public holidays
Who we’re looking for:
- Excellent operational skills and experience in all areas of golf operations
- Proven ability to lead and supervise a team, including coaching and training
- Proficiency in point-of-sale (POS) systems, budget and revenue monitoring
- Comprehensive understanding of golf retail and inventory management
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills and ability to interact confidently with a range of stakeholders
- Availability to work a seven day roster including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and some public holidays
