Mornington Golf Club is seeking an experienced, energetic and service driven Golf Operations Manager to lead the delivery of exceptional golf services and experiences for our members and guests.
This is a rare opportunity to join a progressive and growing semiprivate club at an exciting time in its evolution. With strong membership demand and a clear vision for the future of golf operations, the Club is undertaking a number of initiatives designed to enhance the overall golf experience.
The successful candidate will play an integral role in helping establish and shape these enhanced golf facilities and services, working closely with senior management and the Board of Directors to ensure seamless implementation and long-term success.

Key Responsibilities
Golf Operations
Oversee the day-to-day golf operations of the Club
Manage competition administration, timesheets and booking systems
Ensure smooth and efficient daily play operations
Maintain a welcoming and professional golf services environment
Liaise with the Match Committee and management team regarding competitions and golf programming
Coordinate major club events and championships
Ensure golf operations reflect the standards and culture of the Club
Manage golf shop retail operations including merchandising, inventory control and supplier relationships
Monitor retail performance and identify opportunities to optimise sales and member engagement
Maintain strong relationships with key golf industry suppliers
Assist in the development of retail strategy aligned with member needs
Maintain and optimise MiClub and MiMembership systems and competition workflows
Utilise Xero for invoicing, purchasing and financial coordination
Ensure accurate management of golf operations data and reporting
Assist in improving operational efficiencies through systems and process enhancement
Lead and support golf operations staff
Foster a positive, professional and team-oriented culture
Assist in rostering and workflow management
Contribute to continuous improvement across golf services
Assist with the implementation and establishment of enhanced golf operational facilities and services
Work collaboratively with management on planning and execution of upcoming initiatives
Provide input into operational workflows, customer experience and service delivery improvements
Support the Club’s long-term vision for golf operations

Skills & Experience
Experience in a golf operations, golf retail or golf services environment
Sound understanding of competition management and golf administration
Experience using MiClub, MiMembership or similar golf management software (preferred)
Experience using Xero or similar accounting platform
Strong organisational and time management skills
High level of customer service and communication skills
Retail merchandising and stock management experience
Ability to work autonomously and take initiative
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality outcomes
Project coordination or project management experience will be highly regarded
PGA qualification or working within a golf environment advantageous but not essential
