We are seeking an energetic and experienced Golf Operations Manager to lead the Club’s golf operations and services and deliver an outstanding experience for members and guests. This hands-on leadership opportunity is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of golf services, including retail, competitions, junior golf development, member engagement, and the continuous improvement of our driving range and practice facilities. Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for the effective management and continuous improvement of the Club's golf operations, identifying opportunities to enhance participation, member engagement, operational performance, and the overall Club experience. Key areas of responsibility include: * Management of the Golf Shop, including retail performance, merchandising, stock control, and customer service. * The ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of staff, members and external stakeholders * Liaising with the greenkeeping team to ensure the course and facilities are maintained to the highest standards. * Delivery of men's, women's, and junior golf competitions and events. Liaising with the bar and catering team to ensure the smooth running of all events. * Golf bookings, administration, member communications, and related systems. * Development and growth of junior golf and participation programmes. * Enhancing member engagement and driving participation across all golfing demographics. * Leading and developing a high-performing golf operations team. About Whitford Park Golf Club Whitford Park Golf Club is one of Auckland’s leading clubs and is a Top 50 NZ Course. Whitford Park Golf Club is a challenging tree lined course, with excellent fairways and greens, with good practice facilities – grass range, chipping green, putting green and 2 covered driving ranges providing 24 bays. In addition, a well-stocked golf shop, bar and café and swimming pool as part of its facilities. About You To be successful in this role you will bring: * Experience in golf operations, golf retail merchandising and commercial performance, club management, hospitality, or member services. * Strong leadership and people management skills. * A passion for delivering exceptional customer and member experiences. An eye for detail and excellent time management skills. * Excellent organisational and communication skills. * A proactive and solutions-focused approach. * A genuine passion for golf and growing participation in the game. * NZ driver's licence required. * IT literate, with the ability to learn and effectively utilise golf club management and business systems, including DotGolf, Excel/SharePoint/Microsoft 365, Lightspeed or similar POS, booking, and reporting platforms. * Full-time role, with your normal days of work being Tuesday to Saturday, with flexibility to support Club events and member activities as required.
