THE ROLE
Plan, organize and manage the operations of the pro shop, back shop and driving range. Monitor and inspect operations and initiate any required corrective action. Monitor and record financial transactions/commitments within an approved budget. Develop and recommend budgets, business and strategic plans. Provide club fitting and club repair services. Conduct reviews of the pro shop operations; prepare and recommend business strategies to enhance the viability and profitability. Implement, review and maintain stock/inventory control programs. Assist in negotiating with suppliers and contractors for supplies, equipment, and other services. Conduct junior and other golf teaching programs. Assist in the planning, organization, promotion and delivery of golf tournaments and special events. Attend club management meetings.

QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED
Education, Certifications and Licenses
- High school diploma AND in-depth experience in golf course management, pro shop operations or in a related field
- Canadian Professional Golf Association (CPGA) Certification
Experience
- In golf, pro shop or related business management
- In merchandising
- In applying policies, procedures, and regulations
- In personnel administration
- In budget administration
