Position Summary:
As a Golf Shop Attendant, you will play a vital role in the overall success of day-to-day golf operations. You will deliver outstanding customer service, supervise junior golf operations staff, and take a lead in driving golf entertainment revenue through various activities. Your role will ensure the smooth running of golf operations, maintain high standards of service, and enhance the experience for all members and guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow and help develop golf operations policies and procedures.
- Work with senior management to uphold and implement customer service standards.
- Supervise daily operations, ensuring team responsibilities are executed to a high standard.
- Drive Golf Entertainment revenue, including Coaching & Lessons, NDIS strategy, Leagues, Parties, Corporate events, and Kids parties.
- Direct the daily operations of the golf entertainment and front of house teams.
- Carry out the operational plan, procedures, and policies to maintain the effective day-to-day running of golf entertainment operations.
- Train and develop team members with a strong focus on golf entertainment.
- Mentor all Topgolf Swing Suite School-based trainees.
- Drive overall Golf entertainment guest experience through exceptional service and sales.
- Maintain golf entertainment systems and equipment, including managing stock levels.
- Identify, book, and service golf entertainment event bookings.
- Manage golf membership sign-ups, renewals, and member events.
- Assist in achieving revenue targets and meeting budget requirements.
- Maintain pro shop cleanliness and staff presentation.
- Manage social golf groups and assist in merchandising and retail sales.
- Marshal the golf course as needed.
- Assist in Food & Beverage management and service of the bistro during down times in golf entertainment.
- Work closely with the marketing team to implement the golf entertainment social media plan.
- Collaborate with the sales team to hit revenue targets.
- Provide priority and exemplary service to all customers, including information, food & beverage service, and guest experience.
- Promote the benefits of TPC membership and facilitate the signup process.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Previous experience working in a golf facility.
- Ability to lead, supervise, and mentor staff.
- Demonstrated customer focus, emotional intelligence, and empathy.
- Strong financial proficiency in cash handling and reporting.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- High level of personal integrity and commitment to professional development.
- Experience in selling, facilitating, and delivering small-scale events is a plus.
- Contribute to overall customer satisfaction as measured by increased membership base, returning members, and green fees players.
- Ensure 100% compliance with internal policies and procedures as well as external compliance relating to RSA, OH&S, and Fire.
- Achieve revenue targets and control costs as per annual budgets.
- Maintain high standards in pro shop presentation and staff uniform.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and management of golf operations policies and procedures.
