We are seeking a dynamic Golf Operations Assistant to provide administrative support to the Golf Operations Manager and team.

As the Golf Operations Assistant, you will be providing an exceptional experience for our members and guests that visit Wollongong Golf Club. You will support our operations with a strong administrative focus. Key Responsibilities:

The role:
  • Ensuring exceptional customer service at the pro shop and golfing facility.
  • Assist in overseeing and enforcing the pro shop operations, policies, procedures, and controls to ensure the safekeeping of assets, inventory and resources.
  • Assist in overseeing and managing retail for the proshop.
  • Assist in overseeing pro shop staff.
  • Empowers employees to provide excellent customer service.
  • Strives to improve service performance.
  • Displays a strong leadership in guest hospitality, exemplifying excellent customer service and creating a positive atmosphere for guest relations.
  • Manage and control Golf Australia and club directive programs.
  • Act as a role model to all employees by demonstrating the behavior and work ethic expected of employees.
  • Administering member competitions, timesheet bookings, handicap queries etc.
  • Tee management and player supervision / education on the golf course.
  • Invoicing and stock take.
  • Collection of green and competition fees.
  • Perform general office duties, such as answering phone calls and responding to emails.
Essential:
  • Previous experience in customer service and sales.
  • Previous experience in golf operation
  • RSA competency card.

  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Must have excellent customer service skills, be friendly and personable.
  • Maintain a credible golf game and remain current on teaching innovations.
  • Self-motivated with the desire to promote and market.
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Strong leadership and strategic planning experience.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
