Briarwood Country Club is seeking a highly motivated and reliable individual for mechanic position in the ground’s maintenance department.
Qualifications:
· Valid driver’s license.
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· Golf course or turfgrass experience highly recommended.
· Regular and reliable attendance.
· Authorized to work in the U.S.A.
Knowledge of
· 2-cycle, 4-cycle, gasoline, diesel and electric engines and motors.
· Hydraulic systems and pumps.
· Electrical systems of all golf course equipment and vehicles.
· Proper sharpening techniques (grinding) for reels, bed knives, and rotary mower blades.
· Ability to properly adjust reel-to-bedknife and height-of-cut on reel mowers.
Duties:
· Maintain preventative maintenance program.
· Will initiate a hazardous material disposal program as it pertains to equipment maintenance and facility management (oil, anti-freeze, etc.).
· This individual, with management approval and within budget parameters, should develop and maintain an intelligent parts inventory.
· Will need to gain fabrication skills (welding, plasma cutting, etc.).
· This individual should have basic computer skills and ability to communicate with superintendent, vendors, distributors, and salespeople.
· Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
· Ability to diagnose mechanical troubles and determine appropriate maintenance work.
