As a Mechanic, you will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing various types of vehicles and equipment. This is a hands-on position that requires strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills.
Job Description
- Lubricates and services all golf course maintenance equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and filter replacements.
- Perform mower grinding/sharpening, general overhaul of motors and reels, installs and adjusts braking systems.
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot complex issues and repair electrical equipment components.
- Perform general preventive maintenance on all equipment.
- Perform and organize routine scheduled maintenance.
- Troubleshoot issues with equipment, order parts, and repair.
- Welding and fabrication.
- Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
- Ability to follow instructions and work with staff.
- Understanding prioritization of work that will streamline efficiency.
- Maintain daily sharpness and height of reel mowers.
- Required to operate equipment and lift up to 50lbs.
- 1-3 years' experience with engine repair (small, diesel and gas).
- Prior experience with golf course maintenance equipment is helpful.
- Needs organization skills for tools and parts inventory, machine records, and purchasing.
- Ability to use common hand and shop tools.
- Basic computer knowledge (Microsoft Office).
- Understanding of equipment operations, service, and maintenance practices
- Able to work at least 32 hours a week and early mornings.
- Regular & reliable attendance.
- Required to operate equipment and lift up to 50lbs.
- $30+ an hour (DOE)
