We're seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Golf Marketing and Salesperson. You'll wear two hats, ensuring a seamless customer experience in the shop while crafting engaging marketing initiatives to promote our beautiful course and facilities.
On the Marketing side:
- Promoting, securing and assisting with organizing golf tournaments, clinics, and other events.
- Promoting, securing and organizing corporate golf events.
- Promoting, securing new and retaining membership and sponsorship for the golf course.
- Promote and develop ideas to increase golf course visitor traffic.
- Develop and prepare social media content to promote the golf course, events, and special offers.
- Craft compelling email marketing campaigns and press letters to reach new and existing golfers.
- Update the club's website with fresh content, photos and event information.
- Generate creative ideas to promote the club's unique offerings and atmosphere.
- Analyse marketing efforts and adapt strategies for optimal reach and engagement.
- Greet and assist customers, answering phone calls and booking of golf sessions.
- Assist golfers in selecting the perfect equipment, apparel, and accessories based on their needs and skill level.
- Maintain a clean, organized and inviting shop environment.
- Process customer purchases efficiently and accurately including point-of-sale operations and cash handling.
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanour, fostering a welcoming atmosphere for all customers.
- Manage inventory, including stocking shelves and reordering supplies.
- Stay up to date on the latest golf trends and equipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager/Golf Operation Manager.
To thrive in this role, you'll need:
- A genuine passion for golf and a strong understanding of the game.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- A creative mind with a knack for social media and marketing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and social media platforms.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to go the extra mile.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new situations.
- Flexibility is required with working hours and weekend work will apply.
- Basic knowledge of retail operations is preferred.
- Golf knowledge or PGA qualification is preferred but not essential.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift light to moderate weight (e.g., golf clubs).
