Job Description Summary
Working under close supervision, this position performs necessary activities to serve customers, maintain the sales area and manage the pro shop in a positive and professional manner. This position handles all financial transactions, maintains inventory and supervision of pro shop staff to attain a positive sales growth while maintaining excellent customer relations with golf course patrons. Qualifications
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position has supervisory responsibility.
NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
~ Excellent communication skills both orally and in writing including use of good grammar
and conveying information in a tactful, concise, and professional manner.
~ Must have polished and proven people skills with a focus of being able to interact well with a diverse population, provide excellent customer service, ability to diffuse conflict situations, and problem resolution
~ Ability to effectively communicate with customers, listen to their needs and provide guidance in the proper recommendations to ensure a top-level experience at the golf course.
~ Basic math and cash and credit card processing skills
~ Proficient listening skills
~ Good time management skills
~ Ability to effectively supervise personnel
~ Must have the ability to maintain positive working relationships with fellow employees and customers
~ Must demonstrate excellent teamwork skills
~ Must be detailed oriented
~ Proven ability to work with little or no supervision
~ Ability to work in a fast paced environment
~ Must be flexible and adaptable to change
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
~ High school diploma or equivalent required.
~ At least two years of customer service experience, preferably in a golf/hospitality/service/leisure entertainment industry.
~ Knowledge of recreational operations and golf course maintenance highly preferred
~ Prefer at least one year of supervisory experience.
CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES REQUIRED:
~ Valid Texas Driver"s license with good driving record required.
ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS AND SAFETY HAZARDS:
~ Work is performed in a climate controlled office environment.
TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED:
~ Computer, cash register, golf equipment, office machines.
