*La Cita Golf & Country Club – Full-Time* La Cita Golf & Country Club is seeking an experienced and customer-focused *Golf Pro Shop Manager* to lead the day-to-day operation of our golf pro shop. This is an excellent opportunity for an energetic professional who enjoys golf, retail, and working directly with members and guests. The Pro Shop Manager will play an important role in delivering an outstanding golf experience while growing pro shop sales and profitability. *Responsibilities* * Manage the daily operation of the golf pro shop. * Provide exceptional service to club members and guests. * Manage golf apparel, equipment, accessories, gifts, and club-branded merchandise. * Select, purchase, receive, price, and display merchandise. * Maintain accurate inventory and conduct regular inventory counts. * Monitor sales, margins, inventory turnover, and profitability. * Manage the POS system, cash handling, and daily sales reporting. * Develop attractive merchandise displays and seasonal promotions. * Identify opportunities to increase retail sales and member engagement. * Coordinate merchandise and prizes for tournaments, leagues, outings, and special events. * Handle member special orders and merchandise requests. * Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise pro shop staff. * Maintain a clean, organized, and professional retail environment. * Work closely with the Director of Golf, golf professionals, and club management. * Maintain strong relationships with members and respond professionally to questions and concerns. * Stay current with golf apparel, equipment, and retail trends. *Qualifications* * 3+ years of experience in golf retail, golf pro shop operations, private club retail, sporting goods, or a related field preferred. * Previous retail management or supervisory experience preferred. * Strong knowledge of golf merchandise and apparel. * Excellent customer service and communication skills. * Strong organizational and inventory management skills. * Comfortable using POS and inventory management systems. * Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office. * Ability to work weekends, holidays, tournaments, and special events as required. * PGA/LPGA experience or membership is a plus, but *not required*. *What We Are Looking For* We are looking for someone who is: * Friendly, professional, and approachable. * Passionate about golf and member service. * Organized and detail-oriented. * Sales-oriented and understands retail profitability. * A strong team leader. * Comfortable taking ownership and making decisions. * Able to build strong relationships with members and guests. * Positive, energetic, and willing to be hands-on. *Benefits:* To be discussed based on position and qualifications.
