Your leadership will drive the success of our golf program while fostering a welcoming environment for members and visitors alike.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise all golf course operations, ensuring smooth day-to-day functioning
- Coordinate and manage golf tournaments, special events, and club activities to boost member engagement
- Oversee staff scheduling, shift management, and team supervision to maintain high service standards
- Deliver exceptional guest services by addressing member inquiries and resolving issues promptly
- Manage cash handling procedures and ensure accurate financial transactions during golf operations
- Collaborate with restaurant and hospitality teams to provide seamless experiences for guests dining or attending events
- Write reports on operational performance, event outcomes, and customer feedback to inform continuous improvement
- Proactively identify and communicate issues that require input or action from the GM for implementation or resolution.
- Submit a requested yearly budget by line item and capital items for consideration in accordance with existing HLRA financial policies and regulations. Manage the approved departmental budget.
- Required to be on call should a situation arise requiring multi-department involvement or in extremis type circumstances.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Public Administration or Management is preferred, not required.
- Minimum of five years of supervisory experience, preferably in the golf industry.
- Minimum PGA of America membership in good standing in an active classification.
- Strong background in events management and coordinating large-scale tournaments or functions
- Attend conferences, workshops, meetings, and trade shows to keep abreast of marketing and business trends and equipment development.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Effective report writing abilities to track performance metrics and operational insights
- Experience managing shifts, supervising staff, and overseeing daily operations in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with cash handling procedures and point-of-sale systems
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail
