About Us: Spring Lakes Golf Club is the largest private golf course in Canada offering a driving range, practice facilities and 3 separate 18 hole courses on 1 property.
Job Description: We are currently seeking a dedicated and hardworking individual to join our team as a Golf Course Maintenance Worker. The ideal candidate will be passionate about creating and maintaining the best playing conditions for our golf course and ensuring an optimal experience for our members.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as, daily course set up, debris clean up, raking sand traps and mowing greens, tees, fairways and rough.
- Operate and maintain various types of equipment including line trimmers, backpack blowers, utility vehicles and ride on mowers,
- Perform landscaping duties such as planting, pruning, mulching and laying sod.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance facilities and equipment storage areas.
- Punctuality and reliable transportation
- Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in golf course maintenance or landscaping preferred.
- Ability to operate and maintain various types of equipment safely and efficiently.
- A positive attitude with a strong attention to detail and work ethic.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labour in various weather conditions.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and with a team
- Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends and holidays when scheduled
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
