Looking for work for the Spring, Summer and Fall of 2024?
Enjoy working outside in a relaxed environment?
Elbow Springs Golf Club Turf Care Department is accepting applications for employment on the grounds maintenance crew. You will be part of team that is responsible for the day to day maintenance of the golf course. We are looking for energetic, detail oriented individuals who enjoy working outdoors to join our team for the 2024 season. Elbow Springs Golf Club is located minutes west of Calgary on Hwy #8, in Elbow Valley. This position is seasonal and typically runs from mid April- end of October. Previous Turf Care experience is preferred but not necessary.
Requirements
-Willing to learn new tasks, ask questions, follow instructions, adhere to safety procedures
-Ability to work in a TEAM environment
-Motivated to work early mornings (5:30am start during summer months) and in all types of weather.
-Valid driver’s license
-Own transportation - Public transportation does not access the golf course
-Able to work efficiently with minimal supervision
-Able to work one weekend shift per week . Seasonal employee schedules are either Tuesday-Saturday or Sunday-Thursday (Weekend and holiday shifts being 4.5 hours, weekdays are 8 hours)
-Knowledge of the game of golf an asset but not necessary
Daily Tasks May Include:
-Operation of maintenance equipment - Golf carts, Ride on mowers, Greens Rollers, Backpack Blowers, Weed Whippers..
-Daily Course Set Up - Changing pins, Tee markers, Traffic Routing, Hand watering
-Bunker maintenance - Raking, Weeding, Edging
-General Landscape work
