*Job Overview* Join our dynamic team at Desert Canyon Golf Course as a Golf Course Maintenance/Clubhouse Assistant, where you will play a vital role in maintaining the pristine condition of our golf course and ensuring an exceptional experience for our guests. This energetic position performs a wide variety of duties both inside the clubhouse and on the golf course grounds. Your dedication will directly contribute to the overall quality and aesthetic appeal of our facility, fostering a vibrant community atmosphere. *Responsibilities* * Perform golf course groundskeeping tasks, including mowing, edging, fertilizing, and aerating to maintain optimal turf health and appearance. * Operate and maintain landscaping equipment such as lawnmowers, trimmers, chainsaws, irrigation systems, and power tools with a focus on safety and efficiency. * Provide outstanding customer service in the clubhouse managing tee times and using point-of-sale system for merchandise sales * Assist with cart rentals and ensure carts are clean and prepared for play * Support clubhouse operations by maintaining cleanliness, organizing supplies, and assisting with guest services as needed Knowledge of: * A fundamental knowledge of the game of golf, golf facility operations, and tournament operations is necessary * General golf equipment and brands * Strong retail sales skills and customer service techniques * General knowledge of both tournament and league play operations Ability to: * Work varying shift hours, including evenings and weekends as necessary * Work in both indoor and outdoor environments * Proficiently operate a point-of-sale system * Communicate well with others, both orally and in writing, using industry-specific terminology A proactive attitude towards learning new skills related to groundskeeping, landscaping, and clubhouse support roles is crucial.
