SUMMARY
The Golf Instructor teaches golf lessons in the park district’s summer racket sports program or assists in teaching lessons at any time at the park district’s Racket Club. The Golf Instructor reports to the Racket Club Tennis Director and may teach or help teach either group or private lessons to any age and ability. The Golf Instructor may also help to run tournaments, assist with matches or leagues, make calls to players or parents, answer the phone, or do clerical work for the lesson program or club. The Golf Instructor also assists with site clean-up, site maintenance such as roll drying wet courts, weeding, net repairs, sweeping, and ball sorting. This position is a part time or seasonal position.

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour

QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 16 years old with one varsity high school golf letter or junior ranking, and three years playing experience.
- Group or private golf lesson teaching experience or significant playing experience.
- An enthusiastic, positive attitude, good appearance, and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Good people skills, with the ability to communicate well with children and adults.
- Team player able to follow the directions of the supervisor.
- Ample physical activity may be involved, including standing and feeding balls, walking, running, bending, stretching, or sitting.
- Typically teach two to four hours in a row.
- Teaching may occur outside in very hot, humid weather, or indoors on hot, humid courts.
- Teach group or private pickleball lessons to all ages and abilities as assigned.
- Assist in running tournaments, leagues, events or other related activities.
- Assist with the clerical work of the program or club.
- Assist with the maintenance work of the program or club including site clean-up, sweeping courts, painting, repairing nets or windscreens, pulling weeds, sorting balls, roll drying wet courts, or other duties needed to be done for the program or club.
- Follow all policies and procedures of the park district and Racket Club including, and especially, safety policies and procedures.
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
