This vibrant hotel, located in North Ballarat contains a family bistro, beer garden, function room, large sports bar with full TAB facilities and gaming area.
We are seeking to appoint an experienced professional as Venue Manager who will, in conjunction with Mercury and the Board of Management, manage the overall operations of the venue. Responsibilities will be the operational management of the venue facilities including staff development, training, rosters and staff recruitment, planning, reporting and making recommendations to the Management team on administration and operational matters.
Excellent marketing skills and the ability to motivate and lead the team with a sound understanding of food, beverage and gaming operations is necessary.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to discuss and resolve problems/complaints and represent the hotel as required
- Knowledge of stock control and till systems
- A sound understanding of OH&S
- Demonstrated ability to manage and communicate with staff, to provide leadership and to promote a team environment.
- Proven ability to deliver outcomes within set budgets and timelines
- Excellent organisational skills
- Ability to promote the hotel and its facilities in the local community
- Current RSA & RSG certificates
- Current Victorian Gaming Employee Licence
