Glendhu Golf Course near Wanaka is being designed and built by the same expert team that delivered the award winning Jack's Point Golf Course, consistently ranked in the top 50 international golf courses by GolfDigest.com, and regularly features in the top three golf course rankings in New Zealand. Jack’s Point is the winner of the prestigious global tourism IAGTO 2019 Sustainability Award for Nature Protection, recognising the continued significant environmental protection and enhancement work that has gone into the golf course, alongside its residential and village development. The same care has been taken with the Glendhu golf course build, ensuring that we nurture the spectacular environment where it is located. * About the Role This is a unique opportunity for you to join the final stages of our golf course build and continue on as part of our permanent golf course maintenance team. You will have the opportunity to learn on the job and grow your career with us as part of our group. We can provide extensive on the job training, to grow your skills and experience in the industry. And if a qualification in Turf Management is of interest, then let's talk about how we can support you with that. This is your chance to learn and work alongside the best! * About You Ideally you will have some of the following qualifications and/or experience: - A turf qualification or similar - Growsafe Certificate (training can be provided) - Skillful with machinery, operating it safely/efficiently and taking care of it - A good understanding of Health and Safety requirements - Friendly, professional and active team contributor - A positive and enthusiastic can-do attitude - Sound time management and communication skills - A good eye for detail - Good health, physical fitness and comfortable working outdoors - The desire to join our team long term so we have the opportunity to support your career growth - Flexibility with working hours/rosters and early starts at times - Your own reliable transport is a must as the golf course is a 10 minute drive from Wanaka. - Immediate start preferred When you join our team, you will be rewarded with a beautiful place to work, competitive pay and benefits and good learning opportunities with a team of proven experts.
