Greenkeeper – Otago Golf Club Otago Golf Club is one of New Zealand’s most iconic and historic golf clubs, widely regarded as the home of golf in New Zealand. With a proud heritage dating back to 1871, the Club continues to evolve while maintaining the high standards expected by its members and visitors. With the upcoming Interprovincial tournament scheduled for December 2026 and continued investment in the course, this is an exciting time to join our greenkeeping team and contribute to the ongoing development and presentation of one of the country’s premier courses. About the role We are seeking a motivated Greenkeeper to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a hands-on role working 40 hours per week, including rostered weekend work, as part of a small and dedicated team committed to delivering exceptional playing conditions year-round. Requirements * Experience working in a sports turf environment * Relevant turf management qualification (preferred) * Growsafe certification, or willingness to obtain * Full and current driver’s licence * Availability to work 40 hours per week, including rostered weekends * Sound knowledge of Health and Safety best practice in a greenkeeping environment Skills and attributes * Ability to work both independently and within a small team * Positive attitude and willingness to contribute to team culture * Good communication skills * Playing golf is an advantage * New Zealand residency What we offer * A full-time, permanent position * Opportunity to be involved in the ongoing development of the course * The chance to work at the home of New Zealand golf * Career progression and professional development opportunities If you take pride in your work, enjoy working outdoors, and want to be part of a club with a strong reputation and exciting future, we would love to hear from you.
