We’re looking for an energetic, self-motivated Golf Development Officer to join our team and help deliver engaging golf programs across our region. This is a fantastic opportunity to combine your love of golf with community sport development, while working with schools, clubs, and community groups to increase participation and promote the game.

About the Role

As Golf Development Officer, you’ll:

  • Deliver junior and adult participation programs such as MyGolf and Get Into Golf

  • Coordinate school, community, and club-based golf activities

  • Organise events, clinics, and come-and-try days

  • Engage with local councils, schools, and sporting groups

  • Support golf clubs with development, inclusion, and growth strategies

  • Promote programs through local media, social media, and presentations

  • Collect and report on participation data and program outcomes


What You’ll Bring

  • Experience in sports coaching, development or community engagement (golf experience necessary)

  • Great communication and relationship-building skills

  • Strong planning, time management, and organisational ability

  • A self-starter attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic reporting tools




Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in sport management, coaching, education or a related field

  • Golf Australia Community Instructor or coaching accreditation (or willingness to obtain)

  • Valid Working with Children Check

  • Current driver’s licence and own vehicle

  • First Aid/CPR (or willingness to complete)
