The Opportunity: We are seeking an experienced and motivated General Manager to oversee all aspects of our club's operations, ensuring the highest standards of service and member satisfaction. As the leader of our team, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities, financial performance, and strategic direction of the club. This is a unique opportunity to take charge of a successful golf club with a supportive board, a passionate membership, a tenured superintendent, and a well-established reputation in the community.
Key Responsibilities:
Revenue Growth and Management: Develop and implement strategies to sustain and enhance revenue streams for the club. This includes optimizing the profitability of membership programs, driving increased rounds of golf, maximizing event bookings, and enhancing ancillary revenue through the pro shop, food and beverage services, and other facilities. Work closely with the existing Golf Professional to ensure alignment in delivering high-quality golf instruction and programming that attracts and retains members. Continuously evaluate and refine revenue-generating initiatives to maintain and surpass financial targets.
Leadership in Food and Beverage Management: As the General Manager, you will be responsible for the overall oversight of food and beverage operations. This includes leading and managing the team, developing strategic plans, and ensuring high standards of quality and service. You will work closely with the Head Chef to coordinate menu planning, streamline operations, and enhance the dining experience, ensuring a collaborative approach that aligns with the club’s goals and member expectations.
Staff Management and Development: Lead, mentor, and manage a diverse team of professionals to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the golf club. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, setting clear expectations and providing ongoing support and training to enhance staff performance and job satisfaction. Implement performance management processes, recognize and reward exceptional contributions, and address any challenges promptly to maintain high standards of service and professionalism across all departments.
Collaborative Leadership: Work closely and collaboratively with the Board of Directors, Superintendent, Head Golf Professional, and staff to ensure cohesive management and operation of the golf club. Facilitate open communication and teamwork among all stakeholders, including the membership, to align on goals, strategies, and operational decisions. Foster a unified approach to achieving the club's objectives, enhancing the overall member experience, and maintaining the club’s reputation for excellence.

Qualifications: • 3 or more years of managerial experience (preferably but not limited to the golf sector) • Ability to manage and analyze financial reports, budgets, and forecasts to ensure profitability and financial stability. Proven experience in developing strategies to enhance current revenue streams and control current costs to maintain high stand of operational efficiency • Extensive experience with food and beverage operations • Extensive experience in coordinating and running special events and tournaments • Experience with food and beverage operations • Passion for the game of golf and a commitment to delivering an exceptional member experience. • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and member-focused environment. • Tech savvy: POS Terminals, Accounting/Bookkeeping Software, Word, Excel, PPT, POS Software, TeeOn, Social Media
Compensation and Benefits: • Salary Range: $65,000-75,000 • Incentive based bonus structure The salary and bonus structure will be competitive and based on the candidate's qualifications and experience.
