About the role
The City of Canning is building a brand-new team to run the golf operations at Whaleback Golf Course, providing excellent opportunity to be part of a friendly team who together will shape a great working environment.
The cook is a key member of the Whaleback team providing a food and beverage service from the on-site café to patrons of Whaleback.

About the role
The City of Canning is building a brand-new team to run the golf operations at Whaleback Golf Course, providing excellent opportunity to be part of a friendly team who together will shape a great working environment.
The cook is a key member of the Whaleback team providing a food and beverage service from the on-site café to patrons of Whaleback.
In this role, you will undertake duties such as:
- Develop menus using fresh, seasonal produce from local suppliers
- General kitchen duties including preparation of café style meals
- Adhere to excellent hygiene standards and cleanliness in the facilities.
- Assist with developing procedures to enhance the F&B experience.
- Stock and inventory control including monthly stock takes
- At least 2 years of cooking experience with a qualification in commercial cookery
- Experience with menu design with recipe costing in mind
- Understanding of various cooking methods, equipment and procedures
- Accreditation as a Food Safety Supervisor (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to work within a 7-day roster including public holidays
- Permanent Role – Part Time hours can flex up for service needs
- $26 - $35 per hour + super + penalties for weekends and public holidays
